Evaluation
As Aflatoun's programmes continue to develop across and within countries, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems are also developing.
In 2008, Aflatoun introduced a network-wide evaluation strategy that will be implemented by Aflatoun programme partners in the coming years. This will complement the existing evaluation work already being done nationally by partners.
The network-wide strategy is a series of 5 connected surveys that will be conducted on an annual basis by partner organizations. The surveys are conducted with three different groups: partner organization, schools and teachers, and children in the Aflatoun programme. To find out more about Aflatoun's Evaluation approach read the new Aflatoun Evaluation Manual available for download here.
Aflatoun is also aiming to do more rigorous research on the programme using random assignment, Social Return on Investment (SROI) and qualitative methods focusing on child participation. All evaluation work is published on an annual basis in Children & Change, Aflatoun's flagship publication. Children & Change are available online on the publications page.
