Škola Dokorán (Wide Open School) is a Non- Profit Organisation established in 2012 as a potential successor of the Wide Open School Foundation, which had focused on life-long learning through a variety of personality and individual needs centred projects since 1994.
The Foundation was established as a spin-off organisation by the Open Society Foundation Bratislava to pursue its priorities in early childhood development and education, reform of education system and education of the marginalized.
Since December 2015 the organisation has changed the name to Škola Dokorán – Wide Open School following up on Foundation’s rich and successful history. Škola Dokorán works to develop a stimulating environment for families coming from heterogeneous communities especially emphasizing education, employment, housing and health issues with a particular attention to children at an early age.
