Aflatoun is committed to advancing social and financial education (SFE) globally through its advocacy efforts. By collaborating with governments, international organisations, and civil society groups, Aflatoun advocates for the integration of SFE into national education systems and policies. Through research, policy dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives – such as global and regional events, Aflatoun strives to ensure that every child has access to quality SFE, empowering them to lead financially secure and socially responsible lives.

Global Money Week

GMW is a spin-off from Aflatoun Day, organized by Aflatoun as an annual celebration and learning event for all its 350 partners in 100 countries organized every year in March. It is an annual global awareness-raising campaign on the importance of ensuring that young people are financially aware, and are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve financial well-being and financial resilience.

Global Social And Financial Skill Conference

The Aflatoun Global Social and Financial Skills Conference is an annual gathering that brings together educators, policymakers, and experts from around the world to promote social and financial inclusion for children and young people.

Regional Meetings

Aflatoun Regional Meetings serve as platforms for stakeholders to collaborate, and share best practices in social and financial education. By facilitating networking opportunities and knowledge exchange, Aflatoun Regional Meetings empower participants to collectively address the diverse challenges and opportunities in promoting youth empowerment and sustainable development.

Youth Engagement

Grounded in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and building on its strong network, Aflatoun International has an important role to play in fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals.
