Aflatoun Day, Thursday, 25th March 2021, occurs during Global Money Week – a great time to celebrate social and financial education and skills. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions put in place in many countries worldwide, this year’s Aflatoun day will take place in a different format. Throughout the last few weeks, we organised several calls with students to learn about their perspectives on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected their lives, and what they want their governments to do to help them. We compiled their insights and will release a statement during the GMW.
On March 25th, Aflatoun Day, we are hosting the award ceremony of the Aflatoun Partners Resilience Challenge. At this event, we will highlight the outstanding stories from our partners about how they navigated through the COVID-19 crisis and continued to empower children and youth worldwide with social and financial education.
This year’s theme is resilience! We all showed that despite the strains of the global pandemic, by collaborating with each other, we can keep providing quality social & financial education to all children and young people worldwide.
Let’s share, inspire, empower!
