On 25 June 2026, Aflatoun partners in Egypt came together for a refresher meeting and training on Social and Financial Education, hosted by Gozour for Development Foundation.
The meeting brought together representatives from Leaders Egyptian Association for Development (LEAD), Egyptians Without Borders Association, Martyria for Culture and Development, and Life Vision.
The session aimed to strengthen collaboration among partners and reflect on key challenges and opportunities in implementing Aflatoun programmes in Egypt. A particular focus was placed on training adolescents and youth aged 14–16, integrating green skills, and adapting content to the local context.
Strengthening programme delivery
Partners discussed how to make training more relevant, interactive and responsive to the needs of adolescents and young people.
The conversation focused on three main areas:
- Challenges in training adolescents and youth
- Integration of green skills into educational programmes
- Recommendations for adapting content to the Egyptian context
Partners shared experiences from their work and explored ways to strengthen learning approaches that support young people’s social, financial and environmental awareness.
Key recommendations
The meeting highlighted several practical recommendations for future implementation.
Partners emphasised the need to strengthen interactive and experiential learning approaches, while taking into account the social and psychological diversity of adolescents.
They also discussed ways to integrate sustainability concepts into Aflatoun programmes, including recycling, waste reduction and responsible use of local resources.
Another key recommendation was to strengthen entrepreneurship activities linked to environmental and community needs. This would help young people connect financial skills with practical solutions for their local context.
Partners also reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration to maximise impact on the ground.
Looking ahead
The refresher meeting forms part of Aflatoun Egypt’s ongoing efforts to improve programme quality, strengthen implementation and build partner capacity.
By working together, partners are helping children and young people develop the social, financial and green skills they need to make informed decisions and contribute to more sustainable communities.
Aflatoun International sincerely thanks all partners for their active participation and continued commitment. We look forward to further collaboration towards more impactful and sustainable education in Egypt.
