Taking the first steps into the world of work can be challenging. Knowing how to present your skills, prepare a strong application and understand workplace expectations can make the journey clearer.
On 18 and 19 August 2026, the Crown Prince Foundation in Irbid, Jordan, in cooperation with Aflatoun International, delivered a two-day Employability Skills and Job Market Readiness training.
The programme brought together 15 young people aged 18 to 25. It was designed to help them understand their abilities and professional interests, and connect these with suitable career opportunities.
Through practical activities, participants learned how to identify jobs that match their skills. They also explored how to write a clear CV and cover letter, prepare for interviews and present themselves professionally.
The training covered workplace rights and responsibilities, helping participants understand what they can expect from employers and what may be expected of them.
Beyond preparing application documents, the sessions encouraged participants to recognise their strengths and communicate them with confidence. This preparation can make an important difference when approaching employers or beginning a professional career.
The training reflects the cooperation between the Crown Prince Foundation and Aflatoun International to equip young people with practical skills that respond to their professional needs and aspirations.
A first job search often brings uncertainty. Practical preparation cannot remove every challenge, but it can help young people move forward with clearer goals, stronger applications and greater confidence.
