Aflatoun International and Fu Jen Catholic University’s Master’s Programme in Nonprofit Organization Management have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen social and financial education, nonprofit capacity building and applied research.
On 19 September, Aflatoun International and the Master’s Programme in Nonprofit Organization Management at Fu Jen Catholic University’s College of Social Sciences signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The partnership will bring together Aflatoun’s experience in Social and Financial Education with Fu Jen’s work in nonprofit education, research and professional training. It will focus on social and financial education for children and young people, capacity building for nonprofit organisations, applied research and policy advocacy.
Through international exchange, professional development and research collaboration, the partnership aims to strengthen links between learning, practice and the wider nonprofit sector.
Connecting learning and practice
The partnership will create opportunities to exchange learning materials and professional experience. It may also support training for educators and nonprofit practitioners, based on shared priorities.
Aflatoun Asia-Pacific Project Manager Zhao Yaling gave a keynote address during the signing event, titled Cross-Border Impact: From The Nature of Poverty to Aflatoun’s Practice. She shared Aflatoun’s experience of supporting children and young people across Asia through practical social and financial learning.
Building knowledge together
The MOU also opens the way for joint research on how stakeholder participation can strengthen social and financial education and support child and youth development.
Both organisations will explore opportunities for international projects and funding collaboration. These efforts can help connect academic research with the everyday work of educators, nonprofit organisations and communities.
For Fu Jen’s NPO programme, the partnership expands access to international knowledge and practical experience. For Aflatoun, it offers a valuable opportunity to work with future nonprofit leaders and contribute to learning that connects local action with global perspectives.
