Teachers are the backbone of the Aflatoun Program’s success in the Philippines, and their dedication continues to inspire us. That is why we are looking back on the successful training in the Philippines in October 2024 – a two-day Aflatoun Teachers’ Training on Child Social and Financial Education held at the DCCCO Building in Dumaguete City.
The training brought together passionate educators from five partner schools of DCCCO Dumaguete Branch: Colegio de Santa Catalina de Alejandria, Hermenegilda F. Gloria Memorial Elementary School, Jantianon National High School, Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial Dumaguete Science High School, and Sumaliring High School. Throughout the intensive program, participants dove deep into interactive activities and comprehensive learning modules designed to strengthen their skills in delivering child social and financial education.
This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaborative support of our valued partners: NATCCO Children and Youth, the Department of Education Division of Negros Oriental and Dumaguete City, and COSCA. Their commitment to educational excellence and child empowerment made this training a resounding success.
