Interview with Aflatoun’s CEO on Dutch Television

On the occasion of World Teacher’s Day, Aflatoun International’s CEO Roeland Monasch was invited for an interview on Dutch Television to tell about the value of teachers, the Aflatoun Programmes worldwide and, more specifically, about the importance of financial and social education, also for the Netherlands.

When asked about implementation of the programme in the Netherlands, Roeland told: ‘In the Netherlands our programme has been tested in multiple schools and it worked very well.
There are quite some young people, 18 to 24 years old, that have big debts. Also, there are many young people who quit school and stay at home. Those young people should not be seen as problem youth, they deserve a chance. We should help them discover their talents and help them plan for a positive future for themselves and the society they live in.’

The Aflatoun programmes, whether being given in or out of school, can do just that.
