Al-Ribat is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation working on community development and social empowerment, located in Al Baddaoui, North Lebanon. Founded with the mission “The Great Life is to Serve Humanity,” Al-Ribat aims for a society that respects quality and acceptance of the other.
Al-Ribat works towards a more equitable and inclusive society by addressing a multitude of social challenges. From implementing comprehensive educational programs and women empowerment initiatives to providing vocational training and child protection services. The organisation operates community development centers while supporting livelihood programs and food safety initiatives. Al-Ribat’s mission is to promote a culture of rights and prevent all types of discrimination through awareness programs and activities addressing youth, women, and children in the Menye and Baddawi areas of North Lebanon.
Our Partnership
As a community development organisation, Al-Ribat also works towards economic empowerment for young people and women through their diverse program portfolio. They decided to partner with Aflatoun International to collaborate on providing high-quality, contextualised Social and Financial Education in North Lebanon.
This new partnership will focus on integrating Aflatoun’s curricula into Al-Ribat’s existing programs to teach participants how to develop essential life skills such as problem-solving, effective communication, and informed decision-making. Through this collaboration, Al-Ribat aims to enhance their community impact by incorporating social and financial education components that will help participants manage their finances, create financial plans, and build pathways toward economic empowerment and active citizenship.
