Partner of the Week: All Nations Are Families Foundation, Zambia

For the past four years, All Nations Are Families Foundation has been working to promote health, social, and financial literacy across all age groups in Zambia. With a commitment to addressing the challenges faced by both financially included and excluded sectors, the organisation is driven by the belief that education is the key to positive change.

Partnership with Aflatoun

In July 2022, the All Nations Are Families Foundation partnered up with Aflatoun. This collaboration was driven by common goals and objectives of making Social and Financial Education accessible. Central to this collaboration was the implementation of Aflateen/Aflateen++ curriculum. They established a strong groundwork for the foundation’s programs, providing a well-organized and effective strategy to promote social and financial literacy among the target audience.

Goals and Impact

The primary goal of the organisation is to address the prevalent health, social, and financial challenges in Zambia, ranging from mental and medical issues to poverty and debt. Through innovative approaches like financial educational tours, the foundation engages with the general public, aiming to bridge the knowledge gap and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their circumstances.

All Nations Are Families Foundation actively addresses health, social, and financial challenges through direct interaction with communities. Conducting financial educational tours in schools, correctional facilities, markets, and public and private institutions, the organisation takes a hands-on approach to tackle the issues at the community level.

The Importance of Social and Financial Education

In a country facing various challenges, Social and Financial Education becomes an important tool for developing skills, behaviours, and habits that help with better decision-making. All Nations Are Families Foundation understands how SFE can make a positive impact, not just on individuals but also in creating more connected communities.

The foundation takes pride in innovative initiatives within Social and Financial Education, with a particular focus on virtual meetings and capacity-building activities. These activities enable the organisation to reach a wider audience and enhance the impact of its educational programmes.

Overcoming Challenges

Despite facing limitations in human and financial resources, All Nations Are Families Foundation has witnessed an overwhelming response to its Social and Financial Education initiatives. Their engagements in schools, correctional facilities, markets, and various institutions have highlighted the transformative power of education in empowering individuals to make positive life choices.

All Nations Are Families Foundation teaming up with Aflatoun showcases the positive effects of Social and Financial Education. As they face challenges the foundation stays dedicated to promoting literacy for health, social, and financial well-being in Zambia. Their focus on education and empowerment aims to create a better future for everyone involved.
