INJAZ was established in 1999 in Jordan as a project under USAID and Save the Children. In 2001, it was relaunched as an independent non-profit organisation under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah with the mission of inspiring and preparing youth to become productive members of society and accelerate the development of the national economy. INJAZ is committed to deliver youth education, development and increase employment through its wide variety of programmes.
In 2014, INJAZ became an Aflatoun partner and piloted Aflatoun and Aflateen as part of their school programmes. The organisations joined forces to provide an extensive training for 70 teachers and core supervisors in the summer of 2016. With the support of the Central Bank of Jordan and the Ministry of Education, Aflatoun International and INJAZ trained another 140 teachers for the National Financial Education Curriculum. Teachers were introduced to a selection of active-learning methods in the context of social and financial education, which feature throughout Aflatoun’s materials.
