Öğretmen Akademisi Vakfı-ÖRAV (Teachers Academy Foundation) is a non-governmental organisation in Türkiye focused on the professional and personal development of teachers. Established in 2008, its primary mission is to support teachers who are conscious of their responsibilities and open to lifelong learning and development in the areas they require.
Accordingly, they design tailored educational programmes and develop projects to support the professional and personal development of teachers and educational administrators. By utilising resources effectively, they strive to enhance teachers’ capabilities through these efforts.

Our Partnership
Aflatoun International partnered with ÖRAV in 2016, utilising the AflaToun curriculum. The partnership arose from the organisation’s recognition of the need for financial and social education in the country, aiming to provide students with quality education by supporting teachers’ professional and personal development. In today’s world, students require new skills, knowledge, and attitudes to meet future demands. Aflatoun International, being a leading organisation in social and financial education, was a crucial partner in this endeavour.

Together, we have reached more than 20,000 students and 2,000 teachers.
ÖRAV initially delivered this programme face-to-face in selected pilot cities in Türkiye. However, following the Covid-19 pandemic, ORAV adapted the implementation process to remote learning, to still ensure the accessibility to education.
Additionally, ORAV participated in the Aflatoun Conference in the Netherlands twice and supported the organisation of a Regional Meeting held in Istanbul in 2022.
