Strengthening Hope and Resilience Empowerment (SHARE) is dedicated to inspiring, nurturing and enabling women, youth and children to improve their quality of life through empowerment, mentorship, education, capacity building and advocacy. They prepare young people aged 11 to 30 years to act on their situations by starting early so that they become exceptional problem solvers, self- reliant (livelihoods and quality education) and healthy (disease prevention) as adults. For 11 years SHARE has been active changemakers in Uganda, by teaching courses on sustainability, financial literacy, leadership skills and health. They provide practical hard skill training through experts on health risks and health mitigation. Through this they strengthen community leadership and changemakers and work together with political leaders, police, community members, teachers and traditional/cultural/religious leaders.

Our Partnership
In 2019, wanting to be part of a global movement dedicated to social and financial education for children and young people SHARE joined the Aflatoun International network. SHARE uses the AflaTeen plus curricula to continue empowering youth for a sustainable future, expanding their reach and impact, collaboration with other stakeholders as to have advocacy influence and learn from the network and fostering self-reliance in young people.
Social and Financial Education aligns with SHAREs goals and the project “Skilled for Life” which objectives are:
- To help youth gain real-world skills, financial independence, and social resilience.
- Prevents Youth Dependency & Poverty – Many young people struggle to find jobs after school. Financial education teaches them how to save, invest, and start businesses instead of waiting for formal employment.
- Reduces Social Risks – Lack of economic independence often leads to early marriages, teenage pregnancies, and risky survival choices.
- Equipping youth with financial and entrepreneurial skills keeps them empowered and self-sufficient.

Success Story
Brenda attended SHAREs course in 2018, but when her parents could not take her for a course or proceed to higher education after S.4 (10th year of school), she tapped into her initiative to sustain herself. At 19 years, Brenda is earning her income from sewing clothes on weekends and holidays as she works at a nursery school during the day and studies in nursery school during the evenings. She appreciates SHARE for the early knowledge and skills that it provided which she consults on a daily basis.
This initiative not only builds individual capacity but also contributes to the broader goal of sustainable development and poverty alleviation in Mongolia.
