World Vision is a non-profit development organisation promoting justice and fighting against poverty. They work with children, families and entire communities, aiming to have them reach their full potential. World Vision is active in 100 countries, reaching 4 million children annually.
World Vision started implementing the Aflatoun curriculum in 2010 in non-formal settings in Northeast Brazil. Currently, World Vision is implementing all three curricula (Aflatot, Aflatoun and Aflateen) in schools and in non-formal settings in 4 states. Last year more than 1800 children and young people participated in one of the programmes. One of them is Rhaudney, pictured above.
Rhaudney was able to drastically improve his personal situation with the help of the Aflateen programme and assistance of World Vision. He grew up in a single parent family and they were very poor. To help out, he was selling bags.
