Aflatoun International has concluded an online Training of Trainers on the Enhanced AflaYouth Curriculum, bringing together 53 participants from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Designed for young people aged 16 to 24 and above, AflaYouth supports learners to build the social, financial, employability and entrepreneurship skills they need to make informed choices and pursue their goals.
The training was organised by Aflatoun’s Middle East and North Africa team and facilitated by Sarah Ghazal, Education Specialist and Certified Trainer, and Nancy Abu Hayyaneh, MENA Programme Manager.
Over the course of the training, participants explored active, learner-centred teaching methods alongside practical topics including employability, entrepreneurship, social and financial skills, creative thinking, problem-solving and decision-making.
The sessions focused on learning by doing. Participants took part in discussions, peer exchange and interactive activities that they can apply in their own work with young people.
Participants highlighted the relevance of the content and the value of learning alongside peers from across the region. Many also noted that the training provided practical tools they could use immediately.
We thank all participants for their commitment and active engagement. We look forward to seeing how they use the Enhanced AflaYouth Curriculum to support more young people across the region.
