Scaling Quality Life Skills and Financial Education: Integration of Life Skills and Financial Education in National Education Systems

Access to quality education remains elusive for many young people worldwide. Even those who complete basic-level education often lack relevant learning opportunities to develop essential skills, knowledge, values, and attitudes for personal and community success. Current youth education policies fail to address the unique vulnerabilities faced by young people, particularly girls and young women, hindering their ability to transform their lives through essential knowledge and skills acquisition.

Collaborating closely with Ministries of Education, Central Banks, local Aflatoun partners, and other stakeholders, our goal is to implement a systematic transformation in providing young people with Social and Financial Education by integrating it into national curricula. Our activities encompass advocacy efforts to prioritize and incorporate SFE into national education programs, organizing workshops with national authorities to seamlessly integrate SFE learning components into education systems, and conducting training sessions for teachers in teacher training institutes and inspectorates on active learning methods and the implementation of SFE in schools.
